Movie

When you are facing death, what is the most important in that moment? Dignity or life? What do you think? This is a problem that “The Reader” gives us.

The title of the film is “The Reader”, so the whole movie is surrounded by reading. Actually, Hanna ashamed of the fact that she did not know how to read instead of couldn't face her Nazi crimes. At this point, she was brave and persistent, I admired her behavior of to defend self-esteem. After more than 20 years, when Hanna who in old age facing to the query of Michael, she still didn't repent crimes. She said: I have learned, kid. I have learned to read.” We can see that the importance of reading for her, and the importance of dignity for her.
