Bonus Section
One of a American TV show that I have watched and impressive me is The Moment of Truth. This is a reality game show which contestants answer a series of 21 increasingly personal and embarrassing questions to receive cash prizes. It is a interesting game show style that I had never watch before. Although the price was attractive, I think it is not a good show becuase the questions are too privacy that easy to break the relationship with family, friends and colleagues. However, the show was hit in a short time, maybe the theme was too sensitive, the show didn't continue now.

Reading
The second reading, GlobalizationV.S. Americanization, that I read spoke to me a lot. The aritcle is comparing globalization and americanization. The author thinks globalizationis not the same as Americanization,a nd the globalization refers to different culture are affecting people all over the world.Globalization sends the trend that extends increasingly. Since I came to the United States, which is a globalization country, I deeply felt different culture around myself. I can eat in different culture style restaurants; I can meet different race people; I can hear different language; I also see Multinational chain stores. Especially in school that students are from different countries, so the school is like a small scale of globalization representative.

Movie
When
you are facing death, what is the most important in that moment? Dignity or
life? What do you think? This is a problem that “The Reader” gives us.
The
title of the film is “The Reader”, so the whole movie is surrounded by reading.
Actually, Hanna ashamed of the fact that she did not know how to read instead
of couldn't face her Nazi crimes. At this point, she was brave and persistent,
I admired her behavior of to defend self-esteem. After more than 20 years, when
Hanna who in old age facing to the query of Michael, she still didn't repent
crimes. She said: I have learned, kid. I have learned to read.” We can see that
the importance of reading for her, and the importance of dignity for her.
Pop Cultue

Following the devolopment of pop culture, I have deeply influenced by popular culture.First of all, it let me enrich my life. For example, listenning to pop songs, watching pop TV shows, and reading fashion magazine.Second, due to the popularity of internet, I can know a lot of information about pop culture of all over the world .Third, cultural exchanges is one of big effects. I have learned some of different culture through pop culture.
From this class, I have learned many new things about pop culture. For example, I know the differents between pop culture and high culture.Pop culture is more people know it and follow it but it usually popular in a short time.Oppositely, high culture refers to graceful buidings ,art or behavior that less people follow.
Cultural Identity
China has five thousands years of history. The traditional culture, also called the HuaXia culture has inherited until now. It has distinct national characterstics, a long history and profound connotation. It includes the Confusianism which is one kinds of traditional thought, traditional festival and customs, language, buliding, clothes and so on. So, I chose seven parts of traditional culture that are most of people already heard about them but do not know in-depth knowledge to explain them in my poster. Those are the four great inventions of ancient china, peking opera, chinese kungfu, Tang suit,Dragon which is a creature of mythical, chinese knots and the chinese calligraphy. Those all are typical chinese cultures.
Chinese KungFu is one part of chinese culture.
